DESCRIPTION

Refined wedding dress with a touching retro soul, a meticulous assembly of antique laces and "d'antan" embroidery hand-sewn onto a linear, soft, and feminine slip-dress base. The foundation of the bodice dates back to the 1950s, crafted with delicate silk pleats; over it, stunning 1970s floral and leaf ramage have been hand-stitched to intertwine harmoniously. The bodice features thin straps and a square neckline, with some leaves left unsewn to move gracefully with the body. The natural waistline is highlighted by a rare early 1900s antique inlay at the center, featuring small embroidered flowers framed in silver threads. A lace mini-peplum transitions into a skirt that falls softly over the hips, flaring into a full circle at the bottom. The skirt is embellished with various tulle panels featuring floral and geometric embroidery; the front showcases three distinct patterns, while the back features two large floral panels. A true labor of love and research! While the bodice elements are older, the skirt's laces date back to the 1960s and 1970s, accented by scattered fabric flowers and buds. The color palette is a sophisticated blend of off-white, gold, silver, ecru, antique pink, and cream. Fabric conditions are truly excellent.
