Lorenzo Riva, the king of brides, the man who invented the bride in Italy, the man who understood, sublimated and dressed her with elegance, class, naturalness and charm, tradition and innovation. The designer who first imagined the bride as we see her today in the models of his successors, who drew inspiration from his unique, brilliant and complete way of interpreting her, making her walk on the most important catwalks, dressing her as a leading lady, as a coup de theatre of fashion. Lorenzo Riva since '58 has made the bride a protagonist on international catwalks, a man of great class, he always thought of the woman as a work of art to which to give a soul through his garments, halfway between the past and the future, a timeless artistic project. He worked alongside Balenciaga, dressed celebrities from Overseas, and enchanted the audience of the Big Apple. The gown we are proposing is, probably, one of his first creations, late 50s early 60s, and it is an absolute classic; the model is A-line, the fabrics are precious, pure silk and lace, the color is a splendid off white/ivory; if you love to transform yourselves, for the most important day of your life, into a princess bride with an aristocratic allure, this refined garment could be for you; we found it and took care of it by bringing it back to the limelight, expert textile restoration professionals cleaned it and returned it to its ancient splendor without altering the light of the past; the bodice is tight to the body, in silk, simple and linear, sleeveless, with a heart-shaped neckline, the silk buttons are placed on the back; the silk skirt is wide, soft and flared, the waistline is low and a splendid full circle train in precious lace with a floral design, gives royalty to the entire garment. The gown is truly in excellent condition.
